Short Inca Trail 2 Days Machu Picchu 2026
Embark on an unforgettable short Inca trail trekking to Machu Picchu, with an experienced tour guide. We start the Inca Trail 2 Days Hike , from Cusco city by car, and then by train through incredible landscapes, arriving at the real beginning of the Amazon jungle, from where we start hiking the original Inca trail to Machupicchu, exploring some sites along the route , and arriving to Machu Picchu through the amazing view from the sungate.
Kilometer 104 is the beginning of the hike, and this place is located at the beginning of the Amazon jungle at 2, 000 masl (6,561ft). Then, we need to hike through the green Andes mountains, and arrive at the sun gate to enjoy the panoramic view of Machupicchu, then ride a bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes town.
Then, the next day we are back to Machu Picchu by bus, and then have a tour for a couple of hours. Afterward, we are back to Aguas Calientes town, then by train and car back to Cusco city.
This adventure hike for the short Inca trail to Machu Picchu is much better in a private way, so you hike at your own pace the whole Inca trail, with plenty of time for photos, and visit some Inca sites along the route.

- 03:00 am: Pick up from hotel. 2 hrs by car to Ollantaytambo train station.
- Morning: 2 hrs train to Km 104; begin hike. ~3 hrs uphill + ~3 hrs gentle trail via Sun Gate to Machu Picchu.
- Late afternoon: Bus 30 min to Aguas Calientes; overnight.
- Day 2 morning: Bus back to Machupicchu; guided tour for a couple of hours.
- Afternoon/evening: Bus to Aguas Calientes; lunch. Train ~2 hrs to Ollantaytambo, then ~2 hrs by car to Cusco; drop-off at hotel.

Itineray Trip For Inca Trail 2 Days Hike
We pick you up at your hotel by 3:am, then we ride our transport for 2 hours to Ollantaytambo train station, then we ride the train for 2 hours to the beginning of the trail, named kilometer 104, where we get off.
Then, we hike 3 hours uphill with some gentle parts, and then we hike for 3 hours through a gentle trail with some little uphill to Machu Picchu, passing through the sun gate.
Then, we ride a bus from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes town for 30 minutes, where we stay the overnight, the next day early in the morning we ride the bus back to Machupicchu, then have a tour for couple hours.
Afterward, we go back to Aguas Calientes town by bus, then have some lunch, then we are ready to ride the afternoon train the way back to Cusco city, firstly we ride the train for 2 hours to Ollantaytambo train station, then a car for 2 hours back to Cusco, then we drop you off at your hotel.
