Detailed 3 Day Sacred Valley Tour Itinerary in Peru
Day 1: City tour Cusco, Sasayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, Tambomachay
We pick you up at your hotel in Cusco city by 9:am, then we visit the 4 Inca sites out of Cusco, firstly we start our exploring tour at Saqsayhuaman, which was one of the mega Inca fortress made with pieces of rock.
Then, we go for the Qenqo Inca site, which was an Inca place, where the Incas mummified the bodies of people from the upper social class, in the Inca time.
Afterward, we go to the Pukapukara Inca site, which is a small Inca town and was inhabited by the Inca farmers.
Then, we go to the Tambomachay, which was a temple of the water, where the Incas performed a water festival.
These are the sites we visit in the city tour of Cusco, then we go back to Cusco city and drop you off at your place.
Day 2: Sacred Valley, Chincheros, Salt Mine, Moray, Ollantaytambo
The time to pick you up is by 7:am, then we ride our private transport for an hour, arriving at the Chincheros Inca site and have a look for some Inca fortress, then we visit the famous factory of natural souvenirs made by hand, using the alpaca animal wool, also we get the chance to observe how the Inca died the alpaca wool with natural herbs, bushes, seeds.
Then, we connect to the famous salt mine and see the salt pools, located in a nice red canyon, and then we go to the Moray Inca site and explore this Inca site.
Afterward, we go to the Ollantaytambo Inca site and have a tour, then at night by 7:pm we ride a train to Aguas Calientes town and stay overnight here.
Day 3: Machupicchu, Cusco City
Today, after some breakfast we go Machupicchu and have a tour at your own pace for a couple of hours, then back to Aguas Calientes town by bus, then in the afternoon we ride a train to Ollantaytambo town for 2 hours, then a private transport for another an hour and 45 minutes back to Cusco city.
