2-Day Quelccaya Glacier & Rainbow Mountain Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Sibinacocha – Phinaya – Quelccaya Glacier
Your adventure begins at 4:00 AM with a private pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We travel for approximately 3 hours on paved roads through the stunning Andes Mountains, followed by another 2.5-hour drive on scenic unpaved roads to the remote Andean community of Phinaya, located at 4,830 meters (15,846 ft). Here, you will enjoy a delicious local breakfast surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes.
After breakfast, we continue driving for one more hour toward the spectacular Quelccaya Glacier, the largest tropical glacier in Peru, located at 5,600 meters (18,373 ft). Enjoy free time to explore the glacier, take incredible photos, and admire the snow-capped peaks and untouched Andean scenery.
Later, we return by private transport to Phinaya community for dinner and an overnight stay in a local hostel, experiencing authentic life in the Peruvian Andes.

Day 2: Phinaya – Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca – Cusco
After an early breakfast at 7:00 AM, we continue our journey by private transport for approximately 2 hours to the world-famous Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca, located at 5,000 meters (16,404 ft). Along the route, enjoy panoramic views of colorful mountains, remote Andean villages, and native wildlife such as alpacas, llamas, and vicuñas.
Upon arrival at the trailhead at 4,600 meters (15,092 ft), we begin a 1-hour uphill hike to the breathtaking viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain. At the summit, enjoy around 40 minutes to admire the vibrant natural colors of Vinicunca, take unforgettable photos, and appreciate the incredible landscapes of the Andes Mountains.
After exploring Rainbow Mountain, we hike downhill for approximately 45 minutes back to the transportation point. Then, we return by private transport to Cusco on a 4-hour scenic drive, with drop-off at your hotel in Cusco city.

To confirm your booking, you need to send us a deposit of US$20 through our PayPal account. Please note that PayPal charges a 7% fee on any transfer, which is paid by the sender. For this reason, the total amount you need to send is US$22.
