Lares Trek Peru 2026 with Llamas – 3 Days Camping Adventure to Machu Picchu

Experience the unforgettable Lares Trek in Peru with llamas, a unique 4-day, 3-night hiking adventure through the stunning Andes Mountains in the Cusco region, on the way to Machu Picchu. This immersive journey allows you to explore the trail alongside traditional pack llamas, just as local Andean communities have done for centuries.

Along the route, you will pass through remote villages and authentic indigenous communities, where you’ll experience the living culture of the Andes. Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear lagoons, and herds of llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat.

During the trek, you will camp in comfortable tents surrounded by incredible landscapes. At night, enjoy unforgettable stargazing experiences, with clear views of the Andean sky and constellations.

One of the highlights of this adventure is connecting with local Quechua-speaking people, descendants of the Inca civilization who built Machu Picchu. This cultural experience, combined with the natural beauty of mountains, lakes, and traditional farming fields, makes the Lares Trek one of the most authentic and scenic routes in Peru.
