Short Itinerary
- Day 1: Cusco – Pumahuanca – Puyuc. Drive through the Sacred Valley and hike through native forests to the first campsite.
- Day 2: Yanacocha – Kuncany. Trek uphill to Pumahuanca Pass and descend to Kuncani village for the second camp.
- Day 3: Kunkani – Lares Hot Springs – Aguas Calientes. Descend to the hot springs, transfer to Ollantaytambo, and take the train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in hotel.
- Day 4: Machu Picchu – Cusco. Morning guided tour of Machu Picchu and return by train and private transport to Cusco.

Itinerary Lares Trek Peru 4 Days And 3 Nights
Day 1: Cusco Pumahuanca Puyuc
We pick you up from your hotel Cusco by 5:am, then we drive our car through the nice Andes mountains, then to the famous sacred valley of the Incas for 2 hours to the beginning of the trail, then we have some breakfast, then is time to hike.
Mainly this hike is through a nice forest full of native trees and some eucalyptus trees, and the hike is gentle uphill for 3 hours and 30 minutes to the lunch place, which is a side of the little waterfall.
Then, still, we need to hike uphill through the native forest with some small gentle parts to the campsite, located at 4,120 masl (13,465 ft).
Day 2: Yanacocha Kuncany
Wake time is by 5:am with some coca tea in your sleeping tents, then time for breakfast, and afterward time to hike through the Andes mountains and see some native trees along the route and some lakes.
Firstly, we hike uphill for 3 hours, arriving at the famous pass named Pumahuanca located at 4,850 masl (15,912 ft), then we hike downhill and pass a nice lake named Yanacocha for 35 minutes and have lunch with some nice views.
Afterward, still we hike downhill for 2 hours to our campsite at the Inca village named Kuncani, located at 3,700 masl (12,405 ft).
Day 3: Kunkani Lares Hot Spring
Wake time by 5:20 am with some coca tea in your tents, then time to have some good breakfast, then we hike downhill for 3 hours and 30 minutes to the famous hot spring pools, located at 3,200 masl (10,465 ft). We have some lunch in this place.
After some swimming in the hot pools, we ride our private transport from Lares town to Ollantaytambo train station for 3 hours and 45 minutes, then we ride our night train by 6:30 pm for 2 hours to Aguas Calientes town, located in the valley of Machupicchu and at the beginning of the amazon jungle, at 2,000 masl (6,561 ft). And stay the third night in a hotel in this warm town.
Day 4: Machupicchu Cusco
We wake up time is by 5:am then have some breakfast and afterward, we ride a bus by 6:am to Machupicchu, then have a tour for a couple of hours, following the rules.
Then, we are back to Aguas Calientes town by bus, which takes 30 minutes, then we have some time to have some lunch, then we ride a train from this town to Ollantaytambo train station, afterward we ride a private transport to Cusco city for an hour and 45 minutes.

To confirm your booking, you need to send us a deposit of US$200 through our PayPal account. Please note that PayPal charges a 7% fee on any transfer, which is paid by the sender. For this reason, the total amount you need to send is US$214.

Is the Lares trek hard?
Lares trek some part is hard, but most of the part is gentle, also you get the chance to ride a horse for the hard parts along the Lares trek.
