In conclusion, along the route on day one, we see the nice waterfall named Perolniyoc then the Inca site Raccaypata, then on day 2 we see some snow-capped mountains, such as the Veronic and Huaccay Willka, and on day 3 we see the Inca quarry with some tombs, then the famous sacred valley of the Incas, where is located the Inca fortress named Ollantaytambo.

How Hard And Distance Per Day  Is Quarry Trail Peru?

Mainly the entire hike is 3 days and 2-night camping, then the third night is in a hotel with a connection to Machu Picchu city, in Aguas Calientes town, which is located at the bottom of Machupicchu, also at the beginning of the Amazon jungle with warm temperature.

Here, we have the following days to hike and distance with altitude.

  • Day one: We start the hike from the village named Socma, Situated at 2795 mals (9,172 ft) then, we hike 5 hours the entire day for 8 kilometers (5 miles)
  • Day 2: we hike 8 hours for 17 kilometers 10 (miles). Today we have two passes along the hike, the first one is situated at 4,200 masl (13,779ft) and the second one is located at 4,460masl (14632 ft)
  • Third day: we hike 3 hours  7 kilometers (4 miles) today we finish the hike at 2,700 masl (8,858ft).

  • The first camp is located at 3700 masl (12,139ft)
  • The second camp is situated at 3600 masl (11,811 ft)

Who Carry our stuff Horses Or Porters?

The good news is for this Inca Quarry Trek, we use horses to carry all our equipment from the beginning to the end of the hike, so that means, only you need to carry your daypack, with light things you need to hike every day.

Mainly, the only place, where porters carry everything for tourists for a couple of days is the traditional Inca Trail to Machupicchu, and also horses are forbidden in this traditional Inca trail.

  • Some money, in soles, is much better
  • A small first-aid kit
  • A good day pack to carry your personal belongings
  • Original passport to ride the train and for Machupicchu’s control
  • Some toilet paper /travel wipes/
