Itinerary Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Tour With Raqchi Inca Site
We depart from the city of Cusco at around 6:00 a.m. and then travel by car for approximately three and a half hours to the starting point, located at 4,700 meters above sea level (15,420 ft). From there, we begin an easy uphill hike of about one hour to reach the third viewpoint of Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain, situated at 4,900 meters above sea level (16,076 ft).
After that, there is an optional hike to the Stone Forest, which takes approximately two hours. We then return along the same trail, enjoying a gentle downhill walk of about 45 minutes back to the parking area.
Next, we continue by car for about one and a half hours to the Raqchi Inca Temple, where we spend around 40 minutes visiting the site. After the visit, we return to Cusco by car, with a travel time of approximately three and a half hours.
From this location, it is also possible to continue the journey to Puno and Lake Titicaca, with a driving time of about four hours.
