Short Itinerary

  • Day 1: Cusco – Soraypampa – Huayracmachay. Trek through the high Andes and cross Salkantay Pass (4,630 m). Overnight in Huayracmachay.
  • Day 2: Huayracmachay – Colpampa – Lucmabamba. Descend into the lush cloud forest and camp in Lucmabamba.
  • Day 3: Lucmabamba – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes. Hike along the Machu Picchu valley beside the train tracks and stay in a hotel in Aguas Calientes.
  • Day 4: Machu Picchu – Cusco. Early guided tour of Machu Picchu and return to Cusco by train and private transport.

Day 1: Cusco Soraypampa Huayracmachay

The time to pick you up is by 4:50 am, then we ride our private transport for 2 hours and 20 minutes to the control place and we have the chance to use the bathrooms, then we ride for another an hour and 45 minutes through a dirt road to the beginning of the Salkantay trek.

The place to start hiking is called Soraypampa located 3,920 masl (12,861 ft). Here we have some breakfast, then we hike for 4 hours uphill some little gentle parts to the lunch place named Soiroccocha located at 4,400 masl (14, 438ft).

After some lunch, 35-minute hike uphill to the highest pass located at 4630 masl (15,195 ft), then just downhill hike for 3 hours and 30 minutes to the campsite named Huaracmachay located at 3900 masl(12,835 ft).

Day 2: Huaracmachay Colpampa Lucmabamba

Wake up time by 5:am then, we have some breakfast, then we hike for 3 hours and 30 minutes to the lunch place at the small town named Chayhuay, located at 2,900 masl(9,515ft), here we have some lunch.

Then, we hike for 4 hours to Lucmabamba for the campsite located at 2000 masl (9,360ft).

Day 3: Lucmabamba Hydro-Electric Train Station Aguas Calientes Town

Wake up time by 6:am, then have some breakfast, and afterward, we ride a private transport for an hour and 30 minutes to the train station named hydro-Electric train station located at 1890 masl (6,200ft).

Then, we hike for 3 hours and 30 minutes, through the valley of Machupicchu shaded by jungle trees, and also the hike is a side of the train lines to Aguas Calientes town, and lunch will be along the route.

Today, we sleep in a hotel at Aguas Calientes town located at 2,000 masl (6,728 ft), also today your dinner is on your own.

Day 4: Machupicchu Cusco

The time to wake up is by 5:am and then have some breakfast by 5:30 am, and then, we go to the bus place, then ride the bus for 30 minutes up to Machupicchu, then have a tour for 3 hours according to the rules in Machupicchu.

Then, we are back to Aguas Calientes by bus for 30 minutes, then have some lunch on your own, afterward ready to ride the afternoon scheduled train, from Aguas Calientes town to Ollantaytambo train station, then private transport to Cusco city, with dropping you off at your hotel.

To confirm your booking, you need to send us a deposit of US$200 through our PayPal account. Please note that PayPal charges a 7% fee on any transfer, which is paid by the sender. For this reason, the total amount you need to send is US$214.

The remaining balance is paid in cash upon your arrival in Cusco. After sending the deposit, please send the following details to our WhatsApp number: +51 943 388 685:

Note: The US$214 deposit is paid via PayPal, and the remaining balance is paid in cash in Cusco, either in US dollars or Peruvian soles, whichever you prefer. Please make sure the final payment is made with clean, undamaged US dollar bills, as torn or damaged bills are not accepted in Peru.
