    After the guided tour, we hike 40 minutes downhill back to the vehicle, and then return to Cusco in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Along the way, we may stop for lunch or snacks.<\/p>\n

    This Huchuy Qosqo trekking tour begins with hotel pickup in Cusco, followed by a 2-hour drive to the starting point near the village of Sihua, located at 3,800 meters (12,467 ft) above sea level.<\/p>\n

    From Sihua, we start a 6-hour hike in total. The first 2 hours are a gentle uphill walk, followed by a downhill hike 2 hours with some flat sections leading to the Inca site of Huchuy Qosqo.<\/p>\n

      This site was built in 1,420 A.D., according to Peruvian archaeologists, and it was used to house around 500 people from different social classes, such as nobles, farmers, and servants. The noble Inca people lived in houses made of carved stones, while the farmers and servants lived in houses made with rustic stones. We also found lookout point houses for the Inca army.<\/p>\n
